gate & large ornamental steel fence panels. Los Angeles area (Palos Verdes Peninsula)
artist custom driveway gate in a contemporary style, pedestrian gate and fence panels for
private residence on ocean top bluffs. CAD design and manufactured in large intact
ornamental steel panels to match existing site conditions. 3/4'' oxy flame cut large
pieces with matching laser cut mounting flanges, frames and decorative elements of sand
dollars. Two panel sizes of 98'' and 120'', both 40'' tall. Original contemporary
ornamental steel design of ocean waves with an assymetrical design for both the 4 foot
wide pedestrian gate and 15' - 2'' wide opening on driveway gate. Scope of artist work for
contractor client (Coast Welding) was client meeting for design, site survey and
measurements, original design and drawings, engineering, computer programming, vendor
selection and custom parts manufacturing. Cost to contractor $36 per square foot including
design, programming, manufacture and materials. 433 square feet of manufactured components
in scope. Client budget $35k.
